I’ve been a marketing professional for almost twelve years now, wearing many hats: content marketer, content manager, digital marketing manager, email manager, senior copy writer, content writer, social media manager, and finally senior product manager. I’ve done it all.

The last role mentioned is my favorite, because it allows me to be both strategic and creative. Product markers are expected to be experts in all things marketing. They are both customer and product obsessed. In the field, product marketers are considered best in class as far as marketing goes. Why? Their unique role requires it. They have had to master all the disciplines of marketing in order to ensure that each customer they serve gets the right message, through the right channel, at the right time.

The ability to be a master at everything is the driving force behind successful product launches, customer onboarding, customer adoption and usage, and ultimately business growth and sales.

Here are some of the results I’ve delivered in the last 5 years. 

  • Created B2B lead-gen guide that generated 1,800 SQLs in less than 3 months

  • Created and led a product launch that doubled customer adoption, decreased churn from 24 to 12 percent year over year.

  • Created multi-channel campaign that tripled summer travel revenue and created a stronger competitive wedge for the client in their market.

  • Created several monthly feature blog articles along with a editorial calendar that increased monthly client engagement from 30 to 45%.
